Some More New Thrones

“Hi, my name is Lily. As a princess, I have to get used to all kinds of thrones, but some are stranger than others. Erm, Granny B? I love the Jackie O sunglasses, but I’m really not sure about this ‘tree throne’ malarkey.”

“Golly-gosh, talk about strange thrones. Still, I guess I have to get up high enough so all my fans can see me at once. Mush, Sillyput, mush! Boopy-doop!”

My New Retro Art Deco Armchair Throne In Faux-Leather Orange Plastic

“Hi, my name is Lily. As some of you know, it was my birthday yesterday. Lovely Mum got me a new push-along as a present. ‘Golly-gosh, Mum,’ I said, ‘it’s a lovely colour, but it’s hard blummin’ work for a toy.’”

“I. Am. SUCH. A. Boopster. It wasn’t a push-along after all, it was a new throne! Golly-gosh, I love a new throne. Let me see now, how does a princess ascend a retro art deco armchair throne in faux-leather orange plastic?”

“Okay, nearly there … Look at that, just one footsie sticking out. Not bad going for a first try, eh?”

“Ooops, I dropped my phone. I mean, what’s the point in reclining on a retro art deco armchair throne in faux-leather orange plastic if you can’t tell all the other princesses about it?”

“Here we go, one last effort … Golly-gosh, it’s not very dignified for a princess, is it?”

“Phew! Made it at last. Lovely Mum? I love my retro art deco armchair throne in faux-leather orange plastic. Can I have a birthday every day? Boopy-doop!”

My First Birthday

“Hi, my name is Lily. It’s my birthday today, and I’m one year old. Hurrah for me! Hurrah for Lovely Mum exactly one year ago! Golly-gosh, can you believe I was ever this small?”

“Or that Sillyput still hasn’t had a shave since I was born? Happy My First Birthday, everyone! Boopy-doop!”

My Visit To The Puppet Show

“Hi, my name is Lily. Last weekend, Ol’ Sillyput took Lovely Mum and me to see the puppet-show in Monkstown. ‘Oh look,’ Sillyput said, ‘there’s a train.’”

“Bzzzzzzp! That’s what I think of noisy, smelly trains. Where’s the blummin’ puppets, Sillyput?”

“Anyhoos, here we are outside Lambert’s Puppet Theatre. Sillyput? What’s a puppet, anyway?”

“Ah, that’s better. Puppets are wooden funny-faces with bad haircuts that act all silly to make me laugh. Which is a lot like being at home. Isn’t that right, Lovely Mum? Zing! Gosh, I’m such a Boopster … Boopy-doop!”

Daffodils Are Lovely

“Hi, my name is Lily. I wandered lonely as a Boopster …”

“Who floats on high o’er hill and vale …”

“When all at once I saw a crowd …”

“A host of golden … Erm, Sillyput? What did we decide about you poking your nose in? Didn’t we say there’d be no more of it? Hmm?”

“Hurray for spring! Golly-gosh, I love daffodils. Oi, Sillyput – are daffodils your favourite flowers, because you’re daff too? Gosh, I’m such a Boopster …”

“Okay, that’s enough daffodils. Where’s Lovely Mum?”

“There she is! Hi, Lovely Mum. Can I have a cuddle, please? Thanks.”

“Now let’s see, what does the world look like from up here? Oi, Lovely Mum – hold steady! A girl could get sea-sick up here.”

“That’s better. There’s nothing like a good snuggle with Lovely Mum. Boopy-doop!”

My Lovely Party Frock; And Lorcan

“Hi, my name is Lily. I was supposed to go to my cousin Eva’s birthday party on Sunday, so I put on my lovely party frock and went upstairs to the Brown Bear’s cave to show it to him. Hi, Brown Bear. Aren’t I lovely?”

“Unfortunately, I had a minor little pukey-lukey incident on my party dress shortly afterwards, so I couldn’t wear it to the party. Actually, I couldn’t go to the party either, in case I caused other minor little pukey-lukey incidents. Actually, I didn’t even know there was a party on, so I was none the wiser. A bit like Brown Bear, now that I come to think of – oh, look over there!”

“See, this is my new cousin Lorcan. Isn’t he lovely? He’s nearly as lovely as my party frock. But I wouldn’t want to wear him! What if I had another little pukey-lukey? Golly-gosh, that would be a disaster. I love my new cousin. Brown Bear? What is a cousin, exactly? Boopy-doop.”

My Short Stroll

“Hi, my name is Lily. My Granda P brought me a wheelie-walker, because even though it’s nice to be carried everywhere, sometimes a little princess likes to stretch her legs. Oi, Sillyput – let’s go for a stroll on the promenade. You know how much the people like to see their princess. Boopy-doop!”

Mmmmm, Snuggles And Cuddles

“Hi, my name is Lily. Golly-gosh, I do love it when Granny B and Granda P come to visit. A little girl just can’t have enough snuggles and cuddles, can she? Especially from someone as snuggly and cuddly as Granny B. She’s like the best teddy-bear ever! Except for Sleepy Bear, of course. Sorry, Granny B, but you come and go, and Sleepy Bear is forever. Boopy-doop.”
